Hi Amy, recently stumbled upon your blog. I really enjoy reading your posts and came across this video awhile back. I also am bipolar and starting to manage it now. I never knew I had it my entire life and always thought I was mentally fine. It's good to see that people are reaching out there when it comes to mental health issues. Take care -Ryan

Hi there,
I think there is some danger in diagnosing people who died so long ago. So many labels have been used to explain the behaviour of many of these individuals and bipolar is the latest one. Bipolar, as medical professional and suffers know, is remarkably hard to diagnose with absolute certainty without having family history, environmental and emotional factors thoroughly explored. Misdiagnosis is as dangerous to the cause of understanding bipolar syndrome as no diagnosis can be. It is dangerous to allow disorders like bipolar to become 'coathanger' that mask the true problem which then go untreated, or behaviour that goes unchecked. Also, remember, that with many disorders and syndromes, everyone is often somewhere on a continuum. It's not as black and white as many people believe. It is only a disorder when it impedes the normal functioning of our lives. Still, great to have someone out there talking about it!

Na do you no how to compose a piece. Its up down up down up down. And the emotions you put into it wil. bssooultley wear you out. the stregnth it takes to become something other then just being is called creation. And to go into the.mind and create things no one else has. Is so profoundly remarable. I remember my first artisic experience. I went into another peraon. It was as if i became something else. It a high. This is why artist actors musicians poets and all the wonderful stuff have this. It s not a disorder. I am not sorry
